Tom received both his B.A. and J.D. from The University of Western Ontario. While attending law school, Tom served as a Third Year Representative on the Student Legal Society and as a member of various committees. After completing his articles at a well-respected plaintiff personal injury firm in London, Tom joined Dyer Brown following his call to the Bar in 2017. He practices in civil litigation, focusing on Insurance Defence.

after being called to the bar in 2019. Sam graduated from York University with Distinction and received his J.D from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018. At Osgoode, he was part of the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP) and Osgoode Hall Moot Team. During law school, his focus was on civil litigation through courses such as Civil Litigation 1 & 2, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Trial Advocacy, and Insurance Law.
At Dyer Brown, Sam practices civil litigation, specifically Insurance Defence, Bodily Injury, and Property Damage. He vigorously advocates for his clients’ interest in tort matters in order to obtain the best results possible and achieve an early settlement. He thoroughly enjoys being in court and has appeared before the Licence Appeal Tribunal, Small Claims Court, Ontario Court of Justice, and Superior Court of Justice.
When away from his litigation practice, Sam enjoys playing sports, travelling, and photography.

Matthew obtained an Honours B.A.Sc. at the University of Guelph and a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. During law school, he showed a keen interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution and volunteered as a mediator at Small Claims Court. He currently practices in Dyer Brown’s Insurance Claims Defence group in Toronto.

Caley obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa. During his studies, he was a research assistant for the Acting Dean of the Law School, an assistant editor of the University of Ottawa Law and Technology Journal, and a member of the varsity golf team. Caley is bilingual and completed both his undergraduate and law degrees in French. Following law school, Caley moved to the U.K. where he received his LL.M. (with distinction) from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Caley returned to London to article with a prominent regional law firm and joined Dyer Brown subsequent to his call to the Bar in 2011. He practices in civil litigation, with a particular focus on insurance matters, and has appeared before the Superior Court Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Outside of the office, Caley enjoys spending time with his family, and can occasionally be found on the links.

Prior to his call to the Bar in 2014, David graduated with an (Hon) BMOS from The University of Western Ontario and obtained his J.D. from Bond University in Australia. While in law school, David was a member of the Canadian Law Students Association, and the Bond University Mooting Team that competed at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, The Netherlands. Upon returning to his hometown of London, Ontario, he articled at Dyer Brown LLP. His practice is dedicated to Civil Litigation, specifically focusing on Insurance Defence, Bodily Injury and Property Damage. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and Landlord and Tenant Board, including Trials or Hearings in each.
